It’s been a summer of change for the Chicago Steel. New ownership, and a pipeline of blue-chip prospects that have moved on to college hockey and the pros. GM and Head Coach Mike Garman is excited for a new season with different challenges, one that will require an all-hands-on deck mentality and a group willing to play as a unit. As the Steel turn the page that means it’s time to take those headshots and get ready for the home opener in Geneva. We go behind the scenes with a few Steel players who don’t mind the bright lights of media day, and watch an entire community come out to support the Steel as they square off against Muskegon at Fox Valley Ice Arena.
