Seattle tries to close the Western Conference gap to one game against the Lynx tonight. Caitlin Clark is in town Sunday.

The Loons attempt to snap a six-game losing streak in Houston on Saturday.

I don’t watch a lot of soccer but after the gong show that was Uruguay/Colombia a couple nights ago, pretty sure I’ll tuned into Argetina/Colombia on Saturday. England/Spain should be decent, too. The Ringer has a good preview. Meanwhile, will USA Soccer ever not be a nightmare?

Going on record saying it won’t be long until Steve Kerr has to start Anthony Edwards on Team USA. Ant did look a little slow early on - perhaps it was the Chik Fil-A he was carrying into the arena - but his defense isn’t an issue, at least to anyone who watched a Wolves playoff game this season.

Must see Sunday morning TV with strawberries and cream. Looks like Joker and either Alcaraz or Medvedev in the men’s final.

Willi Castro Added to All-Star Team

Twins’ utilityman Willi Castro has been named an injury replacement for Tuesday’s All-Star Game, replacing the Astros’ Jose Altuve. As I covered in the podcast, where would this team be without Castro. Castro can - and does - play anywhere, He leads the Twins in every major offensive category except home runs. He’s played 93 games - no Twin has played more than 86.

The Twins have won four of five heading into this weekend’s series in San Francisco to wrap up the pre All-Star portion of their schedule. Saturday’s game is on Fox, a rare occurrence many Twin Citians can watch their local nine.
